Perhaps modern man's most basic need is to grasp the meaning of his own existence. While technological advance explains the physical laws of the universe, the soul is still in pursuit of the question: where did we come from?

Method — An Attempt at a New Narrative

I approach this series from a different vantage. Taking as centre the fundamental narrative in verses 29-39 of Sūrat al-Baqara, we will explore a broad conceptual map: from the human vicegerency on earth to the problem of evil, from the teaching of the names to the prostration of the angels.

Throughout history humanity has looked to the heavens and questioned its own position before the infinite. This wonder is not merely scientific; it is also an existential need.

To model, in the mind, the creation of the heavens and the workings of the cosmos — thereby preparing fertile ground for the heart's expansion and for understanding our role within existence — is a matter of importance.

Every star, every particle is part of a great whole. How does that awareness affect our daily search for meaning? The existence of angels, the human's cosmic role, the bridges between physical and metaphysical dimensions — these are not merely theoretical concepts but realities we meet at every moment of our lives.

A Journey of Self-Discovery

This introduction aims at far more than an accumulation of knowledge: it is an effort to understand ourselves, our souls, and our deep bond with the universe.

Three questions we must ask

This is less about discovering the secrets of the cosmos than about understanding our place within those secrets. Scientific findings and the depths of the Qur'an will each be a lens for seeing the larger picture of life.
