Quran Commands

"Indeed, Allah commands justice, kindness, and giving to relatives; and He forbids indecency, evil, and oppression."

An-Naḥl 16:90

The Quran walks on two wings: command (`if'al`) and prohibition (`lā taf'al`). Classical fiqh unfolds this pair into five rulings: wājib, mandūb, mubāḥ, makrūh, ḥarām.
